Blog 6 Issue Paragraph

Punishment is able to prevent future unconscious plagiarism and protect the intellectual property. As a student, we all have hard time work for our final paper. Thinking about how we feel if we are noticed that our work is used without any credit. It's no doubt that we feel offended. Based on the definition of punishment, which is defined as "a penalty or sanction given for any crime or offence" (Collins English Dictionary – Complete and Unabridged© HarperCollins Publishers 1991, 1994, 1998, 2000, 2003), plagiarism as a misbehavior should be punishment. Nowadays, plagiarism become worldwide problem in college. Several researches show that "40 percent admitted to plagiarizing a few sentences in written assignments." faced with high percentage of plagiarism, educators consider it no longer an unmeant mistake. On the contrary, plagiarism become purposeful misconduct to finish assignment and get good grades, which is infringe upon the integrity of academic writing in most cases. To stop correct this misconduct, punishment is able to alarm student and make them realize the importance of originality. However, we can't deny the unconscious plagiarism may occurred, which is caused by the misunderstanding in different culture background, such as the example of Marita and Aurora.   1. Ok, a lot of this can be used in your intro as well. When you talk about punishment, you should focus on what type of punishment you think is effective. Also, discuss what are some causes of plagiarism. These could be two separate issues.
