Plagiarism is the reuse of significant, identical, or nearly identical portions of one’s own work without acknowledging that one is doing so or without citing the original work. In addition to the ethical issue, this can be illegal if copyright of the prior work has been transferred to another entity. People always focus on the point that plagiarism will do bad to the society. A lot of measure has been taken to punish the person that plagiarize others’ work. However, this is not comprehensive for that issue. Recently, a news in China has caused public concern. It is reported that a famous writer has been slanderead to copy from others’ work. It really did harm to the writer’s daily life. From the previous event, I think that it is necessary to establish related law to prevent things like that. We must first clearly judge whether plagiarism really happens and then decide punishment or something else.

  1. This is a better introduction than an issue. Be sure to cite using summary sentences. Work on an issue of how to judge plagiarism and what to do about it.
