Basketball originated in the United States. Basketball was invented by James Naismith who work in a training physical school. He found that because of cold weather, many people lack of indoor exercise. In 1915 the United States make a unified national basketball competition rules, and translated into many languages, issued to the world.. In 1932, was born in the United States the FIBA basketball rules of the university to use as the foundation, established the first of the unity of the competition rules. With the development of the basketball, Site and equipment improved and perfected, the rule is also constantly changes, now we have 61 rules and 57 gesture figures.
Many people would ask me, why basketball so popular in China. From my opinion, Relative to football, basketball need less people and little space. For new recruit it's easy to learn, you need run and help you teammate to shoot the ball. Also it's a attractive sport for girls, in their minds the guys who play in the ground is very cool! Anther important reason is the basketball shoes is very popular in china, as long as you play basketball in china, you must can call all of these shoes name, even though you can't play basketball. It's a culture in china not sport.
In my childhood, i very like watch cartoon on TV, a name called "SLAM DUNK" cartoon appeared with witty language, humorous story, funny expression. Obviously, I was deeply attracted by this cartoon. Due to excellent motor nerve and physical quality, I was elected to the basketball team. At that time, I have a dream to became a professional basketball player. Until to high school i leave my team, because of strain studies and height of restraint. Now I just a person who like this game and play with my friends twice a week. I begin to pay close attention to the NBA my junior high school period. It was a great show, I feel the whole class boys are all watching the game and discussing the NBA stars. My favorite star is the LA lakers team's Kobe Bryant, he always win a champion in NBA. Without a doubt, he is a famous player in NBA and some of my basketball skills is to learn from him. All is his poster in my wall in my room. Now I am study in American, that is to say, I can go to see him at ground in gym. How excited!
For me, basketball is a good way to make friends with strangers. In my opinion, ,most people play the game of basketball is outgoing personality, with the increase of the practice, more understanding for each other. we have same topic to take with each other when we have a rest, in the ground we are the same team and we have only one goal that is win this game! On the other hand, that is a way to relieve stress for me. When I play basketball, in my eyes only have ball and hoop. It can make me forget all the things except basketball. Finally I wish everybody do more exercise,and maintain a good body.

It a very good story, but you can add more about your own experience about playing basketball, like a little thing in your practice time or a memorable game. It will make your story more attractive.
