The picture above this page is a lecture of OSU. The reason of why I choose this photo is that study problem is the biggest trouble I met in America. And my digital story is mainly talking about what problems I faced and how did I solve it.

As any body knows, Chinese education is totally different from American education, not only in teaching method, but also in educational system. So I did not use to study in here when I first came. For example, in China, our courses were already selected by advisors and professors. We did not have right to choose what we want to learn. As a result, many students always skipped classes, which they were not interested. Also, our schedule is not as tight as American university’s class schedule, and we do not have much homework like American university. Therefore, many students in university did not like study hard. They always stayed in dorm to play computer games. Moreover, we did not emphasize plagiarism and copyright in China, so many students liked to work together to finish homework, or just copied their classmates’ assignments. In my perspective, I believe there is a bad phenomenon in Chinese university education because it cultivated a bad study habit for college students. 

However, after studied two years in Chinese university, when I came here, I did not adapt the way of study in America. For instance, there is too much homework, and the study schedule is tight, which is different from my previous school. I suffer great pressure from study. Also, I cannot exactly understand what professor said in class, especially when the professors speak quickly. And some of them have an accent that severely affects my understanding. Also, I should be careful to write an essay here because if I am not right to cite other people’s articles, I will get involved in plagiarism problem.

But now, my friends gave me lots of advices. I learned many useful tips of study. I became gradually suiting study in here.
