Blog 4: Days I remembered in my heart forever

I never forgot days I spend in my senior high school, Beizhen senior high school, where I got through the most unforgettable and meaningful days in my life.

In China, if we want to go to a university, we must attend a test named Gaokao, which is the only reason for us to go to high school. Due to the huge number of people in China, we must make more efforts to achieve better grades to be enrolled by a better college. It is the same ideality that makes us band together and encourage each other, which knits the most beautiful memories in my life.

On the first day I went to school, military training, I start the first thing in high school. This is our tradition for every new student in order to strengthen our souls and increase our stamina. During the first several days, we couldn’t bear strict requirements of officers and the extremely hot weather. But when I complained about the bad weather and uncomfortable physics, my classmate gave me a warm embrace as family members and companied with me to spend the toughest days. From then on, we forged profound friendships.

Then, I started the formal study life. I can’t forget those classes. At that time, I might like a course only because of a beautiful or handsome teacher. I would concentrate on this teacher’s class, while I perhaps dozed in other classes. When my teacher found I was sleepy, he would deliberately ask me a simple question. Of course, I didn’t know the answer because I didn’t listen to him at all. At this time, my classmates usually told me the solution in a low voice. Then, I could answer the question easily. But it did not always work. Sometimes, my teacher warned my surrounding classmates “ keep quiet!”. I still can’t forget the scene of causing my teachers angry due to my naivete.

I can’t forget my friends during those years. At that time, we have a relationship called desk- mate. I spent most of my time with my desk-mate. She knew all my small secrets, and keep secrets for me. I can tell her all my experience and feelings. For example, I might gossip about a handsome boy with her. I can tell her how I love the boy, and how I make a chance to meet with the boy. She would give me many cute ideas about how to know more about the boy and how to get along with the boy. My desk –mate knew all my little secrets and thought that others’ didn’t know, shared my every happiness, and gave me shoulder when I felt down. She seems a sister for me who companied me get through the most beautiful green age.

I can’t forget times that we fought for the same goal day and night. I can’t forget words that gave me endless confidence when I faced on difficulties. I can’t forget cheers when we had excellent performance on Sports Competitions. I can’t forget congratulations when I received the acceptance letter of a college. I can’t forget you, my friends, my beautiful high school days.

  1. I like your story. I think we share a same topic but my high school life is pretty sad. I like what you write about your desk-mate, you pretty much express your personal life. Do you still keep in touch with those friends since you are pretty far away from them?
