work experience in Iraq

I will point
out for the facts my experience during the period confined between 2003 and
2009. Where it was at that time, the beginning of new Iraq .After the overthrow
the dictatorship in Iraq and the liberation of the country, that was obtained
by the United States army and coalition force .In Iraq, the life turned, from
the state of fear and tyranny, injustice, oppression and deprivation to the
situation of democracy and freedom.
I worked as an interpreter for U.S army for 7
years and that gave me experience that not any one of Iraqi people can get it.
Then one of the most important things that I had done in that job was the
opportunity to help the oppressed people. That used to lived under the fear of
terrorism. Those people were the victims of the sectarian violence.

Object of the story

Access to the personal experiences of the negative and positive aspects .In order to the
benefit of others.

Display story
After the dictator Saddam Hussein regime fell in Iraq .After that most of Iraqis felt
relieved and freedom from slavery. Many of Iraqis they greeted a coalition
force and U.S army for their work. They help Iraqis to get rid of the
authoritarian regime .A lot of Iraqis were quick to provide support to the U.S
army. I was one of these Iraqis. I applied for work as interpreter with U.S
forces and actually they accepted me after passing the exam, in titian or L-3 Company.
This is company responsible for designation interpreter with army, because we
were sub-contracts, and I joined with one of the military units.
The first business day

The first day of work for me was very critical as the U.S rhetoric in English is fast,
which requires me to listen carefully for the purpose of understanding speech
and then arrange answer in English. I
went to military foundation in first day, I met the officer team. He told me
let me show you the team members, they were set in cafeteria, when I came to
them I said “hi guys” they said “hi”, one of them said “what’s up”. At that time,
I stopped 30 sec to think what’s he mean then I look up to ceiling, they started
laughing .After that, they told me don’t worry you will learn ,we will help you
.After a few days was able to know a lot of those terms . I didn’t forget the
brotherhood of soldiers in to help facilitate the task of learning for life and
language of militarism.

Exchange of experience and mutual understanding

Actually, some of my friends of soldiers asked me how to deal with people, men, women and
children. I explained to them that
people respect them and consider them as friends. The important issue is to
deal with women because Iraq is Muslim country and our traditions of not joking
with women, because that is forbidden in Islam and consider it flirting with
women with no prior knowledge of it had committed a crime morally so we have to
respect these traditions, because they strengthen the relationship between
soldiers and Iraqi civil society. Our duty requires the inspection of women we
should be use one of the women, whether American or Iraqi working with
coalition force…..this is the advice was important that soldiers learned and
work out
As for my part.
I have learned a lot first of all the language and second how to keep secrets,
because it many cost us our lives. As I learned respect for time and work and
patience in critical situations and activity. The time we, as Iraqis don't care to time or the sincerity and hard work, because most Iraqis were deprived jobs and who have had the work , they are not respect time. And difficult situations that I don't forget is that I could with my group of soldiers was a terrible day is full of dangers and difficulties, because in this day been
arrested one of al-Qaeda terrorist in Iraq. when we went to the area located
where the person wanted was three o'clock Am . When we entered the area we were
to the heavy fire by terrorist groups.During that obtained exploded a bomb was
planted on the side of the road,This resulted of the explosion make Damage to a
U.S. convoy cars .After tha theU.S.forces respond to these terrorist groups and killed many of them with the support of
helicopters .The operation completed successfully after the arrest of terrorist
elements. That day was hard and tiring but at the same time gained new things I
did not know the courage to take risks .I chose this story to let my friends
know on the type of risk experienced by soldiers during the war and high spirits
enjoyed by the soldiers of the Hola's determination to defend freedom and
humanity against the risks faced by the peoples
